JOHN M. THOMPSON
John M. Thompson was born in West Virginia September
26, 1872. He passed away Tuesday, May 6 at Spokane at the age of 79 years.
When a young man he came to Klickitat county, settling
in the Pleasant Valley area, where he later homesteaded and lived for 50
years, moving to Goldendale, where he resided for approximately 14 years.
A few months ago he moved to Marshall to make his home
with his son, William and family.
Survivors include his widow, Agnes, one son, William
of Marshall and one stepson, Floyd Adams of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted from the Phillips Funeral Home
with the Rev. Earl Poindexter of the Methodist church officiating. Burial
was made in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
