JOSEPH A. ELMER

     Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Novitzbe Funeral Chapel for Joseph Albert Elmer, 58, of the Town of Lake, who passed away April 27th at his home following a sudden illness. Rev. Paul Ofstedal officiated, and interment was at Nola Cemetery.
     He was born December 27, 1936 in Arpin, Wis., coming to this locality 34 years ago. He was employed by the Price County Lumber Company. On December 7, 1926 he was wed to Ruth Strum at Arpin.
     Surviving are his wife; a son, Melvin C. Elmer of Park Falls; daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Clara) Stanke, and Mrs. Oliver (Violet) Dunbar Jr., both of Phillips; and ten grandchildren.
