SUICIDE OF JOSEPH BROWN - Judge Putman, as a deputy coroner, went out Sunday last to investigate into the particulars of a suicide case at Horseshoe Bend. An old gentlemen by the name of Joseph Brown had hung himself. Mr. Brown was well known in this city, and was a one-armed man. He was 67 years of age, and had no family, but has a brother living in the Bend neighborhood. He had suffered a great deal from sickness for some years past, and it is believed that this was the cause of his fatal act. Judge Putman found no reason to hold an inquest, because of death being plainly apparent.
