Joseph Patterson, a former White Salmon resident, died in The Dalles last Tuesday, where he spent the last several years. He died from a long illness. Until relatives arrived it is stated they would not know Mr. Patterson's exact age, but thought he was about 90 years old and spent most of his life at White Salmon where burial will be. Surviving the dead man are a son, William Patterson of Wasco, and two daughters residing at Troutdale and Portland, Ore..

JOSEPH PATTERSON DIES IN THE DALLES
Graveside Services for Elderly Farmer Held Yesterday in White Salmon
A graveside service for Joseph Patterson, 80, an Oregon
rancher for many years, who died Tuesday in The Dalles, Or., was held at
1 P.M. yesterday in White Salmon. Mr. Patterson came to Portland in 1882
from Iowa with his bride. After a residence of about a year here he settled
on a homestead in Sherman County. The family moved to White Salmon in 1907.
Following in the death of Mrs. Patterson about eight
years ago he lived in Portland for a time with a daughter, Mrs. Helen J.
Craig. He was born in County Antrim, Ireland, and came to the United States
when he was 21 years of age. He is survived by two daughters and two sons,
Mrs. Craig, Portland; Mrs. Isabelle Cole, Trout Lake, Wash.; George I. Patterson
of Lexington, Or., and William C. Patterson, of Wasco, Or., and 18 grandchildren.
