JOAN HALL
Joan M. Portner Hall, a White Salmon native, died Feb.
25, 1991, in Caldwell, Idaho, following an automobile accident.
Mrs. Hall was born Nov. 5, 1941, in White Salmon to Viola
(Duffy) and Albert Portner. She grew up in Trout Lake. She married Norman
Hall and lived in Hood River for many years. She worked for Diamond Fruit
Growers Cannery. She moved to Caldwell, Idaho, about two years ago. She loved
to garden and was very devoted to her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Norman, Caldwell;
children Todd and Pam, both of Idaho; brothers and sisters, Betty Murphy,
Seattle, Carol Weaver, Kirkland, Randy Portner, Molalla, Ore., Marshall Portner,
Renton; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph.
Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral
Home in White Salmon, with Rev. Bill Collier officiating. Interment was in
the White Salmon Cemetery.
