JOHN LAHTI
John Peter Lahti was born at Centerville, Washington
June 6, 1881, the son of pioneer parents, Henry and Margaret Lahti.
He spent most of his life in Centerville, except for
a few years in Portland.
He was married to Lempi Tippo, May 17, 1910. To this
union was born a son, Claire John, who is in the U.S. Army overseas. His
wife passed away in 1917.
He is also survived by two sisters, Minnie Anderson,
Centerville; and Josie Anderson, Portland, and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Glenn Garner officiated at the services and interment
was in the Centerville Grange Cemetery.
John Kahkonen, Frank Huikka, Art Basse, Otis Mattson,
Wilbert Crocker and Herman Hoikka served as pallbearers.
