MOURNERS DRAWN TOGETHER IN MARX FAMILY TRAGEDY
HIGH PRAIRIE - Katherine Eshelman
Always a close-knit community, High Prairie neighbors
have drawn closer together by the tragedy which struck the Marx family last
week. All of us share their sorrow and were comforted by the inspired message
brought by the Rev. Eric Jungbauer as Jim Marx was laid to rest Friday in
the Hartland Cemetery, close to the fields and woods he had loved so much
throughout his life.
The large group of relatives and friends who were present
were testimony as to the esteem with which Jim was regarded.
About 50 people, members of the family, relatives and
close friends, gathered at the Wilbur Johnson home following the service.

Jerry Marx from the USS Hancock, and Walter Vandecar from Eugene, and their
daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hauk, Bobby and Anita, Pilot Rock,

Mrs. Lloyd Filloon; and grandnieces, Mrs. Jody Bunn and Mrs. Phyllis Marx,
