JOSEPH P. VEZINA
Joseph P. Vezina, a resident of White Salmon for 60 years,
died Sunday in the Hood River at the age of 84.
Vezina was born in Ontario, Canada on Sept. 21, 1896,
to Mr. and Mrs. P. Vezina. He came to White Salmon and became an orchardist,
a profession he continued until his retirement.
He was a 38-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 63, a 50-year
member of the Mt. View Grange, a member of the Evan Childs Post No. 87 of
the American Legion, and a veteran of World War 1.
Vezina is survived by a daughter, Norma Meadows, Hood
River; a sister, Alice Vezina of Ontario, Canada; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services for Vezina were held Wednesday at Gardner
Funeral Home in White Salmon. The Rev. Leonard Krushel and the Masonic Lodge
officiated. Interment was in the White Salmon Cemetery.
