SHEBLEY OBIT

     Justin "Jerry" Quinton Shebley, a resident of The Dalles since 1983, died at the local hospital on Thursday, May 21 at age 63.
     Mr. Shebley was born April 5, 1929 at Sacremento, Calif., the second of two children to Homer Sisson and Ruby May (Quinton) Shebley. He grew up in Lyle, Wash., and graduated from high school in Lyle. He had lived most of his life in Washington State, working as a logger. He enjoyed camping and fishing.
     Survivors include his wife of nine years, Pearl Bethel Shebley, The Dalles; three sons, Mark Shebley, Bakersfield, CA.; Erine Shebley, Appleton, WA.; and Jerry Lee Shebley, Spokane, WA.; two daughters, Ruby Jean Shebley, Murdock, WA., and Sonnie Taylor, Vancouver, WA.; 12 grandchildren, three step-children, Terry Lee Kautz and Shelly Lyn Winkler, Forest Grove; Shirley Wright, Tillamook; 13 step-grandchildren, a sister, Jannett Rose Clairmore, Oklahoma.
     At his request, no public funeral services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home, which is charge of arrangements.
