JOS. R. RAUSCHER PASSES AWAY OIN HOSPITAL OCT. 9

     Joseph R. Rauscher, age 47, passed away last Thursday afternoon, October 9, at 4:20 o'clock in the Goldendale General hospital following an illness with asthma.
     Requiem Mass was offered for the repose of his soul at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, of which he was a member, Saturday at 10:00 a.m. by Father Hamilton. Interment was in the Goldendale Catholic cemetery.
     Serving as pallbearers were Martin Cahill, Will Hoctor, Harry Ferguson, Barney Schuster, Gus Trumbo and Jack Dressel, Sr.
     Mr. Rauscher was born January 11, 1900 in Parkston, South Dakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew M. Rauscher. The family became residents of Goldendale in 1916 and he had made his home here since that time, engaging in ranching operations east of Goldendale.
     He leaves his mother, Mrs. Carrie Rauscher, two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Hoctor and Mrs. Laura McDowell, two brothers, Andy W. and Herman F. Rauscher, two nephews, Donald and Wayne Hoctor, and a niece, Pauline F. Coffield, of Wishram.
