JAMES ROY REED
James Roy Reed was born December 11, 1884 in Barry, Ill.,
the son of William and Mary Jane Reed, and passed away July 22, 1963 in
Goldendale at the age of 78 years.
His early boyhood was spent in Illinois and as a young
man he moved with his parents to Lind, Wash., and there was married to Emma
LeMasters in November of 1907. His wife and one son of preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at Knosher Funeral Home July
25, 1963 with George Gardner officiating. Pallbearers were Alvin Randall,
Fred Enyeart, Bob Schilling, Mike Henslee, Don Ritzschke and Louis Ruthhardt.
Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing, three sons, Kenneth,
residing in Camas, Homer of Tacoma, Elmer of Centerville, and three daughters,
Mrs. Eldon Sprague it LaCenter, Mrs. Luke Enyeart and Mrs. Clifford Culver
of Goldendale. Other survivors are two brothers, Homer L. of Lind, William
of Spokane and, and 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
For the past 17 years he had made his home with his daughter,
Mrs. Lucas Enyeart.
