JUNE VIVIAN KAHL
HERMISTON -- June Vivian Kahl, 73, of Hermiston, died
Friday, July 16, 1999, at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston.
At her request there will be no funeral services. Disposition
was by cremation with private family inurnment to take place later at Lyle,
Wash.
Mrs. Kahl was born Dec. 24, 1925, at Lyle, Wash., to
Earl B. Leta Ruth Coryell Goodwin. She came to Hermiston in 1990 from Myrtle
Point where she had been a resident for four years. Before moving to Myrtle
Point, she had a resided at Eagle Point for 15 years.
She was an English teacher before becoming a librarian
at the grade school in Merle Point.
Mrs. Kahl was a member of New Hope Community Church.
She enjoyed gardening, stamping, crocheting, and sewing.
She also loved to travel and had been to Spain, England twice, Hawaii and
Alaska.
Her husband, David Kahl, died in 1992. Survivors include
brothers, Cecil Goodwin and Alfred Goodwin, both of Hermiston, and Clifford
Goodwin of Seattle; sisters, Helen McCoy of Vancouver, Wash., and Dorothy
Madden of Kirby. Brothers, Floyd Goodwin and Carrol Goodwin also preceded
her in death.
Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
