MRS. JOHN G. WYERS SUDDENLY CALLED
Funeral services were held Tuesday for the late Mrs.
Jennie Wyers, who passed away January 13 at the Hood River hospital following
an operation for appendicitis. She is survived by her widower John G. Wyers
of this city, and five children by a former marriage. Charlotte Chamberlain
and Grace Deotsch, both of Richmond, Calif., Kenneth Healey, of Hines, Ore.;
Glen Healey, of Huntington, Ore., and Jennie Beatty, of Oakland, California.
Deceased was born at Wallowa, Ore., August 30, 1881. She came to White Salmon
in 1928 and was married to Mr. Wyers January 3, 1935. She was a member of
the Christian church. Mrs. Wyers had made a host of friends since coming
to White Salmon who mourn her sudden passing.
In tribute to the deceased, all businesses were closed
from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. during the funeral services.

MRS. JENNIE WYERS, WHITE SALMON, DIES
Mrs. Jennie Wyers, wife of John T. Wyers of White Salmon,
passed away suddenly at the Hood River hospital following a major operation
from which she had been reportedly recovering nicely until a heart attack
overcame her, Saturday, January 13.
Mrs. Wyers is the step-mother of Teunis J. Wyers, attorney,
of Hood River. She was born in Wallowa, Oregon in August 1881. She moved
to White Salmon in 1928 and married Mr. Wyers in 1935.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 16, at the
Gardner Chapel in White Salmon. Interment followed at the I.O.O.F. cemetery
in that city.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons by previous
marriage; Mrs. Charlotte Chamberlain and Mrs. Grace Deotsich of Richmond,
Calif.; Mrs. Jenine Beatty of Oakland, Calif., Kenneth Healey of Hines, Oregon
and Glen Healey of Huntington, Oregon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Wyers, wife of John G. Wyers, and stepmother of Teunis J. Wyers, of this city, were held at White Salmon on Wednesday of this week. Interment was in the White Salmon cemetery. Mrs. Wyers, who died following a heart seizure last Saturday, was a well-known matron of the Mid-Colombia. She leaves, besides her husband, several sons and daughters.
