Appleton, Wash., Aug. 4th; James W. Cox, 16 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Cox, died at their home at Appleton July 27, after a brief illness, and was buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Deceased was a member of the Appleton High School and was borne to his last resting place by six of his school mates. He was also a member of the Appleton Sunday School. He was well liked by all who knew him. His thoughtfulness of others was shown by his many acts of kindness. He was a dutiful son and loving brother; his presence in the home will be long and sorely missed. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community. "Lone are the paths, and sad the hours since the dear form is gone; but oh! a brighter home than ours, in heaven, is now thine own." Funeral services conducted by Rev. Seldon Ewing at Union Church.
