JAMES LEATON
James Wayne Leaton, a longtime resident of Glenwood,
died Sept. 22 in Yakima County when his tractor turned over on him. He was
27.
Mr. Leaton was born Jan. 25, 1955, in The Dalles to Mr.
and Mrs. William R. Leaton Jr. He was a self-employed auto repairman and
rancher and a member of the Mt. Adams Elks Lodge 1868 and the Glenwood Rodeo
Association.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet, Glenwood; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Leaton, Glenwood; two sisters, Mary Anita Addington, Glenwood,
and Claudia Hoffbauer, Zillah; and a five step-children, Vern Kuhnhausen,
Goldendale, Ginger Kuhnhausen, Yakima, Snuffy Kuhnhausen, Glenwood, Troy
Kuhnhausen, U.S. Navy, and Tana Kuhnhausen, Glenwood.
Funeral services for Mr. Leaton were held Saturday at
10 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home with the Mt. Adams Elks Lodge officiating.
Interment was in the White Salmon Cemetery.
