JOHN X. COLLINS
Funeral services were held at the Gardner chapel in White
Salmon June 11th for John X. Collins who passed away at the hospital on June
8th at the age of 75 years. Burial was in the Underwood cemetery.
He was born in Worcestershire, England, December 26,
1870 and came to the United States at the age of 8 years. Settling with his
parents in Indiana, he later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he married
Mary Ann Warman. They moved to Washington state. He came from Goldendale
in 1931 and lived on Underwood hill for twelve years. Recently he had lived
in North Bonneville.
He was preceded in death by two children, a son and daughter.
Survivors include his widow, four daughters -- Mrs. Rhoda Herron, Yakima,
Washington; Mrs. Clara St. Lawrence, North Bonneville; Mrs. Phoebe Eshelman,
Centerville, Washington; Mrs. Elsie Boyer, Underwood, Washington. Eleven
grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive. He was a member of
the Christian Church.

JOHN COLLINS PASSES AWAY IN NO. BONNEVILLE
John Collins, 76 years old, passed away at No. Bonneville
last Saturday and funeral services were held in White Salmon on Tuesday.
He was born in Worcestershire, Eng., Dec. 26, 1870 and came to the United
States at the age of 8 years. Settling with his parents in Indiana, he later
moved to Chicago, Ill., where he married Mary Ann Warman. They moved to
Washington state soon after and he has resided here since.
He was preceded in death by two children,
a son and daughter. Survivors include his widow, four daughters -- Mrs. Rhoda
Hanoe, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. Clara St. Lawrence, No. Bonneville; Mrs. Phoebe
Eshelman, Centerville, Wash.; Mrs. Elsie Boyer, Underwood, Wash. Eleven

the Christian Church.
