BERTSCH

Kenneth D. Bertsch, 42, of Goldendale passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15 at his home.
He was born in Eugene on Nov. 18, 1949 to Robert and Marjorie Bertsch. Bertsch attended schools in Milton Freewater, Ore. and graduated high school in the Republic of Panama.
He and Mardy Allen were married on June 5, 1971 in the Panama Canal zone and moved to Goldendale in 1976. He was employed as a master machinist at John Day Dam until ill health forced his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Mardy, of Goldendale; two sons, Kevin and Kai, also of Goldendale; his father, Robert of Pendleton and one brother, Robert C. Bertsch of Stanfield, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his mother in February of this year.
Bertsch was a member of the Foursquare Church in Goldendale and enjoyed mechanics, house building and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Foursquare Church in Goldendale. Pastor Jerry Brooking will officiate. Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
