OBITUARY

     Marian Katherine Nelson was born in Denmark, March 3, 1857. She came to this country in 1881 and in 1885 she was married to John Sanstrum. To this union four children were born, one of whom died in Utah, another died after coming to Klickitat with her mother, and is buried in the Pleasant Valley cemetery. In 1896 Mr. Sanstrum received injuries in a mine in Utah from which he died. In 1902 Mrs. Sanstrum was married to Eric Olson and in 1903 they moved from Utah to Klickitat and made their home in Pleasant Valley. In June, 1905, Mrs. Olson became a Christian and lived as a member of the Church of Christ till March 21, 1919, when she fell asleep in Jesus to await the resurrection morn. She had been in poor health for some time and succumbed to a paralytic stroke early on Friday. Funeral was held from the Pleasant Valley school house. A large crowd in attendance was a testimony to her Christian standing in the community.
