K.W. CLEMENTS PASSES AWAY ON OCTOBER 4th
Kenneth W. Clements passed away on October 4 at Skyline
Hospital after a severe illness. He was born in Oak, Nebraska on October
6, 1911 to Clarence and Eva Clements and grew up in Nebraska.
On April 16, 1940 he was married to Mary E. Benjamin
in Geneva, Nebraska.
He had worked for the P.U.D. for many years and had been
a Line Foreman for some years when he retired on November 1, 1973.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from November
13, 1943 to February 1, 1946.
Mr. Clements was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge
of Oak, Nebraska and the Hood River Valley Agate Club.
Surviving him are: his wife, Mary Clements, of White
Salmon; two daughters, Sheila Donnelson of Soquel, California and Janet Gross
of White Salmon; and a granddaughter, Shelley Donnelson of Soquel, California.
Also surviving are: a brother, Lyle G. Clements, of Hutchinson, Kansas; and
three sisters, Vera Seefeld of Oak, Nebraska, Lois Seefeld of Waverly, Nebraska
and Betty Beuthe of Stamford, Nebraska.
Preceding him in death were: his parents, two sisters,
Dorothy Moore and Millie Clements (who died at child birth); a brother, Maurice
E. Clements, who was killed during World War II.
Funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral home
in White Salmon on October 9, 1974 at 2 p.m. with interment at the White
Salmon Cemetery. Rev. Calvin Moore of the United Methodist Church of White
Salmon officiated and Jack Gross sang during the service.
