MRS. JOHN CAVEN PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Lydia Ann Caven was born in Oregon, near Hillsboro,
March 19, 1882, and died August 17, 1929 at the age of 47 years, 5 months
and 2 days.
She was married to John Caven at Condon, Ore., June 9,
1902. They moved to White Salmon in 1908 where they resided until the time
of her death. To this union were born four children - Melvin, Mary, Arthur,
and Elna, the latter having passed away a few years ago.
Mrs. Caven joined the Baptist church in Fossil, Ore.,
in 1906, uniting with the M.E. church of White Salmon in 1929.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, John Caven,
and three children, Melvin, Arthur, and Mary; her mother, Mrs. Emma Krause;
three sisters, Minnie Baldredge, Selma Ambrose, Della Melvine, and a brother,
E.L. Krause.

Mrs. John W. Caven, of White Salmon, passed away last
Saturday. She was born at Corvallis, Or., March 19, 1883, and had lived in
White Salmon for 21 years. She had owned and operated the Washington hotel
since 1920.
Surviving here are her widower and son Arthur of that
place; one son in Portland, and a daughter in Oakland, Cal. Her mother, and
brother, both of Hillsboro; and four sisters.
