LEORA ALIDA HOGE PASSES SEPT. 24
Mrs. Leora Alida Hoge died Sept. 24, 1927, at her home
near Goldendale.
Leora Alida Groom was born at Tonica, LaSalle county,
Illinois, Oct. 3, 1853. She was married Sept. 12, 1877 to Spencer B. Hoge,
near Streator, Ill. There were six children born into this union, all living,
as follows:
Mrs. J.H. Hilton,, Hood River, Or.
Mrs. J.W. Clark, of Cottage Grove, Or.
Mrs. T.J. Johnson, of Walker, Or.
Mrs. W.J. Asp, of Nine Miles Falls, Wash.
Also two sons, Elbert and Gilbert, living at home, near
Goldendale.
She is also survived by one brother, Gilbert A. Groom,
living at Peonia, Cal.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1927,
from the Snively Funeral Home, Rev. D.A. Storey, pastor of the M.E. Church,
officiating. Interment was in the Odd Fellows' cemetery.
Elbert H. Hoge and family, wish to thank the many friends
for their kindness and thoughtfulness during their recent bereavement in
the loss of their mother and wife.
