LISA M. MERRICK

Funeral Home for Lisa A. Merrick, a former White Salmon resident who died
Tuesday, July 4, at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland after a
long illness. She was 22.
Born Feb. 1, 1967, to Patsy L. (London) and Donald O.
Merrick in Hood River, Lisa Merrick grew up in the Bingen-White Salmon area.

hypertension. She was a candidate for a heart-long transplant and was awaiting
a trip to Stanford for the procedure when she died.
Even though her illness dominated her life Miss Merrick
never let the disease get her down. She loved life and loved to write crochet
and photography. She enjoyed small children and worked at several day care
centers. She attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Hood River.
She is survived by mother Patsy Merrick of Bingen, sister
Kim Morby of San Diego, grandmother Dorothy Merrick of Colusa, Calif., fiance
Beau Carr of Portland, nieces Tina and Andrea of San Diego, numerous aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Committal was at White Salmon Cemetery. Rev. David Garrison
was pastor.
