"Lyle"
Mrs. Thomas Kronening passed peacefully away last Thursday evening, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forrest Hewett. Funeral services were held in Lyle Sunday afternoon, many friends attending the funeral although the day was cold and very stormy. Rev. E.W. McAbee conducted the services. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.

MRS. LILLIAN B. KROENUNG
Funeral services conducted by Rev. E.W. McAbee of White
Salmon, were held in the Lyle church Sunday January 31st for Mrs. Lillian
Belle Kroenung, who has made her home for the past few years with her daughter,
Mrs. Lulu Hewett of Lyle, Wash. Mrs. Kroenung was born in 1861 at Lexington,
Mo. and came to the northwest in 1889. She died at the Hewett home January
28.
Deceased is survived by her daughter and three brothers,
T.B. Burkes, White Salmon; John Burkes, Carmen, Okla.; and Charles Burkes
of San Jose, Mo.
