LILA C. LONDON
Bingen resident Lila C. London died at home Friday, May
1, at the age of 75.
She was born Sept. 13, 1911 to Alex A. and Ruth (Rose)
Meador in Patterson, Mo. On Oct. 20, 1928, she married P.H. London in Greenville,
Mo., and they moved to the Bingen-White Salmon area in 1958. Mrs. London
that was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved to make quilts.
She is survived by her husband, Pleamon H. "Hank" London
of Bingen; children Norma Martin of White Salmon, Flora Hamlin of Lutesville,
Mo. James "Jack" London and Patsy Merrick, both of Bingen, and Bill and Donald
London, both White Salmon; sister Mae Taylor, of Piedmont, Mo,; and 16
grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Services for Mrs. London were held Tuesday, May 5, in
the chapel of Gardner Funeral Home, with Mr. Jim Bradshaw officiating. Interment
followed in the White Salmon Cemetery.
Arrangements were made handled by Gardner Funeral Home
of White Salmon.
