WISHRAM YOUTH KILLED IN VIET BATTLE ACTION
Sp. 5 Lynn D. Anderson, 19, who was active in sports
while a student at Wishram High School where he was graduated in 1967 and
immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army June 2, was killed in action in Vietnam
March 3.
Anderson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill W. Anderson
of Wishra. At school, he was prominent in all major sports; football, basketball
and baseball, and also took part in track.
Also surviving are a sister, Shari, brother, Donald,
and a grandfather, D.C. Griffin of San Antonio, Tex.
Anderson was born May 6, 1949, at Raymondville, Tex.
After completion of his short enlistment and service
in Germany, Anderson re-enlisted and asked for service in Vietnam, where
he was on duty until the battle in which he was killed.
Arrangements for his funeral will be announced later
by Smith Callaway.

FRIDAY RITE FOR WAR VICTIM
Funeral for Sp. 5 Lynn Anderson, 19, of Wishram, killed
in action in Vietnam March 3 while serving in the U.S. Army will be at Smith
Callaway Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Howard Spears of Wishram in
charge.
Full military honors will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery
with an Army detail from Fort Lewis, Wash.
Anderson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill W. Anderson
of Wishram. Also surviving are a sister, Shari; brother, Donald; a grandfather,
D.C. Griffin of San Antonio, Tex., and three aunts, Mrs. Bessie Sewell and
Mrs. Frank Pulley, both of Newark, Del., and Mrs. Irlean Woodson of Grand
Forks, N.D.
