LEONA SCOFIELD
Leona Doris (Pache) Scofield, a longtime county resident,
died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at the Johnson's Foster Home in Lyle, at the age
of 82.
Mrs. Scofield was born May 10, 1916, in Kansas, to Carl
and Marle (Schreiber) Pache. She was raised in Kansas and married Merion
L. Scofield on Feb.21, 1943, in Marysville, Kan. The couple moved to Klickitat
County in 1947. She worked for AGA (Diamond Fruit Growers) from 1955 to
1984.
Mrs. Scofield is survived by her brother Carl F. Pache,
Topeka, Kan.; and nephews Charles Pache and Bob Pache, both of Marysville,
Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband Merion on Oct. 28, 1975.
Funeral services for Mrs. Scofield will be held on Feb.12,
1999, at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Rev. Stephen Lusk
officiating.
Interment will be at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home.
