LARRY VAN ALSTINE
Larry Dean Van Alstine, a Columbia High graduate, died
in Vancouver on Jan. 26, 1995, at the age of 59.
Mr. Van Alstine was born July 21, 1935, in Gravity, Iowa,
to Helen (Masters) and George Van Alstine. He moved to White Salmon in 1937,
graduating from high school here. He attended Washington State University
and then joined the Army during the late 1950s. He came back to White Salmon
for a short time and then moved to Vancouver in 1958. He owned his own welding
shop for many years. Classic cars were his passion.
Mr. Van Alstine is survived by his sister, Doris Frankfother,
White Salmon; and son, Terrance Van Alstine, Colorado.
Memorial services for Mr. Van Alstine will be held at
a later date. Interment will be in White Salmon Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Fund.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
