LOIS DARLAND WALKER
Lois Walker was born in the Spring Creek Country, August 30, 1881, being the eldest daughter of County Commissioner George H. Darland and wife Mary. She was married to Henry Walker September 11th, 1912. She was a devout Christian, and died in the full triumph of a living faith in her Saviour, on December 27, 1913. Being of a cheerful and happy disposition, she never complained during her long and painful illness, but each morning said she was in better health - to the day of her death. She leaves an infant daughter, a young husband, father and mother, three sisters and two brothers, as well as a host of friends and acquaintances to mourn her untimely loss. She was a member of Spring Creek Grange No. 162, and was also secretary of Pomona Grange, No. 5, of Klickitat County. The funeral services were held at the Spring Creek School house on Monday, where a large congregation was in attendance. Her remains were laid to rest in Spring Creek Cemetery, to await the resurrection of the just.

DEATH OF MRS. HENRY WALKER
Lois D. Walker was born August 30, 1891, in the Spring
Creek Country, being the eldest daughter of George H. and Mary Darland. She
was married to Henry Walker September 11, 1912. She was a devout Christian
and died in the fall triumph of a living faith in her Savior December 27,
1913.
Being of cheerful and happy disposition, she never complained
during her long and painful sickness, and said each morning she was better
until the day of death.
She leaves an infant daughter, a young husband, father,
mother, three sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss. She was a member
of Spring Creek Grange No. 162, also secretary of Pomona Grange No. 5 of
Klickitat County.

RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY
Whereas it has pleased the All Wise Father above to remove
by death from our midst, Sister Lois Darland Walker, the Worthy Secretary
of Klickitat Co., Pomona, Grange No. 5. Whereas Sister Walker was always
a true and faithful member and officer of this order.
Therefore be it resolved that we the members of Klickitat
County Pomona Grange No. 5, extend to her husband and to our Worthy Master
Bro. Geo. H. Darland and family our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of their
loved one. And we ask to look to our Heavenly Father who alone can and will
comfort them in this time of sorrow.
