Funeral services for Lawrence Asbury are expected to be Thursday. Mr. Asbury died suddenly Sunday night at his home at Northwestern Lake.

LAWRENCE ASBURY DIES OF CORONARY
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday,
Oct. 11, at Gardners Chapel, White Salmon, for Lawrence Elmer Asbury, 43,
who died of a heart attack at his home near Northwestern dam at 3 a.m. Monday,
Oct. 8.
The Rev. Roger Clevenger will officiate. Burial will
be at Chris-Zada cemetery, Underwood. Casket bearers are Ivor Amundson, Parnell
Amundson, Rex Luth, Robert and Clyde Morby and Bill Weech.
Mr. Asbury was born Sept. 13, 1919 at Grass Range, Montana.
He was a World War II Navy veteran. His wife died on Oct. 2, 1959 at Elma,
Washington.
He is survived by three young daughters, Linda May, Betty
Jean and Mary Ellen; a son, Danny; his mother, Mrs. Edna Look of Hood River,
Ore.; six brothers, Irwin of Roseberg, Ore., Ralph of Yakima; Clarence, Virgil
and Lyle, all of the Hood River, and Ronald of Calif. And two sisters, Ava
Grove of Underwood and Viola Jones of Hood River.
The deceased was employed in the woods by SDS Lumber
Co. His children are being temporarily cared for at the Asbury home by Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Weech.
