SERVICES HELD FOR HEIGHTS RANCHER
Leonard Cimmiyotti passed away at his home on Klickitat
Heights north of Lyle on July 18th. Born March 26th, 1882, Mr. Cimmiyotti
had been a resident of this community since 1916.
Surviving are his wife, Ora of Lyle, Wash. Three daughters,
Lelia Crapper of Hood River, Ore.; Vesta Leis of Lyle, Wash,; and Maryal
Schultz of Glenwood, Wash. Three sons: Verne Cimmiyotti of Tucson, Ariz.;
Robert Cimmiyotti of The Dalles, Ore.; and Merle Cimmiyotti of Lyle, Wash.
Three sisters: Minnie Baltes of Van Nuys, Calif.; Sister M. Cunigunda of
Dubuque, Iowa; and Barbara Gilbert, and also seventeen grandchildren.
Recitation of the Rosary was given at Gardner's Funeral
Home Sunday evening at 8 p.m. Requiem Mass was at the St. Joseph's Catholic
Church, White Salmon, July 22 at 10 a.m. Interment was in the Lyle Cemetery
with the Columbia Grange No. 87 of Lyle rendering graveside services. Rev.
Paul J. McLaughlin officiated.
Active pall bearers: James Curl; Lotus Ewing; Harold
Sorensen; Marshall Hamm; Lawrence Quinton; and Steve Graves.
Honorary pall bearers: Roy Crapper; John Hetzler; I.F.
Lester; Olaf Baker; Homer James; and Robert Chamberlain.
