FIRE BURNS HOME; BABY IS VICTIM
The eight-months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Allen, was burned to death Thursday morning of last week, when the Allen home at Pleasant View, north of the Columbia river, was destroyed by fire. When she discovered that the home was on fire, Mrs. Allen ran 300 yards to the LaPier home for help, but a few minutes later the Allen home was wrapped in flames. The infant, which had been left on the bed, lost its life.

BABY BURNED TO DEATH
Little One Left In House While Mother Ran For Aid
Allen Home in Pleasant View Destroyed by Fire Yesterday Morning
The little 8 months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Allen,
was burned to death yesterday moring about nine o'clock when their home in
Pleasant View was destroyed by fire.
Discovering the house had caught on fire, Mrs. Allen
ran 300 yards to the LaPier home to get help, but the house was too far gone
when they returned. The baby had been left on the bed. Mr. Allen was away
at work. The house belonged to Ross Edwards.
