LEVI NIVA DIES AT THE DALLES

     Levi Niva, 64, resident of Centerville since childhood, died last Friday at The Dalles hospital following a severe heart attack. Funeral services for Mr. Niva were held Monday in Goldendale from the Phillips chapel. Burial was in the Centerville Grange cemetery. Mrs. Opal Wiidanen conducted the services.
     Mr. Niva was born at Calumet, Michigan, on April 1, 1877. He came to Klickitat county in early childhood with his parents and had lived in the Centerville section for 60 years.
     He was married to Minnie Mattson in 1897. Mrs. Niva died on May 2, 1940. He is survived by one son, August Niva, of Centerville; three grandchildren, Ronald and Eugene Niva, of Centerville and Margaret Tobin, of Klickitat; one sister, Winnie Graham, of Washtucna, Wash.; and one brother, William Niva, of Centerville.

MAN DIES -- Levi Niva, 53, a retired Centerville farmer, died yesterday at a local hospital. The body was taken to Goldendale by J.C. Phillips, funeral directors.
