LESTER ROTH
Lester E. Roth, 69, of Lyle, died Dec. 15 at his home.
Mr. Roth was born June 8, 1916 in Fleming Col., to Daniel
and Lela Roth, and was raised in Colorado. He married Ovadell Beatty June
8, 1939 in Ft. Morgan, Col., and they later moved to Lyle in 1945 where he
resided ever since.
He was employed as a logger in this area until his
retirement.
Survivors include his wife Ovadell, Lyle; two sons, Daniel
Roth, Lyle, and Ronnie Roth, Hood River; three daughters, Phyllis Hagerstrom,
Bingen; Sharon Ross, White Salmon; and Katherine Roth, White Salmon; 16
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Roth, Sterling,
Col.; two sisters, Darlene Edmonds and Ruby Savage, both of Kersey, Col.,
and a cousin, Al Clermont, Ft. Lupton, Col.
A son, Lester Dale, and a grandson, Ronald, preceded
him in death.
Graveside services are today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in
Lyle-Balch Cemetery, Lyle, with Anderson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Fund in his name.
