"DAD" L.F. MOREY PASSES AWAY
Funeral services were held at Gardner's chapel in White
Salmon for Lewis Frederick Morey at 2 P.M., Monday. Internment was in the
I.O.O.F. cemetery.
"Dad" Morey passed away at the age of 91 years at the
Klickitat General Hospital in White Salmon Saturday, November 27, after a
short illness.
He was born in Clear Lake, Illinois, September 8, 1852.
He was married to Anna Fair in Iowa, and they came to the state of Washington
fifteen years ago after living in several other states. They have lived in
White Salmon, the past 12 years.
Besides his widow, he leaves the following children:
Mrs. Lilly Sundit, of Frontier, Saskatchewan, Canada; Charles Morey, of Climax,
Saskatchewan; Wilbur and Wesley of new Westminster, B.C.; George Morey, of
White Salmon; Mel Morey, of North Bonneville, Washington, also twenty
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
An old family friend, Billie Hayes, of Longview, Washington,
sang "Vacant Chair" and "God Be With You Until We Meet Again," at the
funeral.
Rev. George Jefferson, of the local Congregational Church,
officiated at the service.
