LUTHER ADAMS
Luther G. Adams died in White Salmon on March 15, 2001,
at the age of 82.
Mr. Adams was born in North Wilkesboro, NC., on Feb.
9, 1919, to Major and Roxie (Johnson) Adams. He grew up in North Carolina
and married Mamie T. Tuttle in Danbury, N.C., on Feb. 4, 1939.
Mr. Adams and his family moved to Washington in 1955
and settled in BZ Comers, where he worked as a logger.
He enjoyed bowling in his younger days, but continued
to be very fond of gardening. fishing and trapping throughout his life.
Mr. Adams is survived by his sons Bobby, Blews Creek,
N.C., and Tommy, Madison, N.C.; daughters Shirley Ford, Arab, Ala., Brenda
Belieu, Clarkston, and Roxie Larson, Colton, Ore.; seven grandchildren and
numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife Mamie, who died in 1990,
brother Ed, and sister Beulah (Boots) Sprinkle.
Graveside services were held at the White Salmon Cemetery
on Monday, March 19, 2001, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Tom Stoltey officiating.
