LEO J. BUSH

     A Lyle resident for 42 years, Leo Bush died in Goldendale Aug. 15.
     Mr. Bush was 85 years old.
     He was born Sept. 20, 1894 in Michigan to Mr. and Mrs. William Bush.
     When he was a young man his family moved to Carlton, Ore. He served in the Army during World War I as an aviation mechanic.
     After the war Mr. Bush was married in Portland to Marion Rogers. They had one daughter, Barbara. The family lived in California for 20 years, but returned to this area in 1942 when property was purchased at Appleton. Mr. Bush, his partner John Tucker, and son-in-law, Grant Worthen logged, operated a small sawmill, and raised cattle.
     After the death of his wife in 1964 the property at Appleton was sold, and Mr. Bush had rentals in Lyle. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara; grandchildren Gayle Christian and Shawna and Tracy Worthen; and a nephew and nieces.                Graveside services were Aug. 22 at 3 p.m., Pastor Arthur Davy presiding. Interment was in Balch Cemetery, Lyle. Gardner Funeral Home, Inc. was funeral director.
