LESTER JOHN COLLINS
Lester John Collins, son of John and Mary Collins, was
born at Goldendale, Wash., Dec, 15, 1911, where he resided until 1931, when
with his parents he moved to Underwood, Wash. After a lingering illness of
almost a year he passed away at the hospital in Vancouver, Wash., Sept. 2,
1933, at the age of 21 years, 8 months and 18 days. At the age of ten years
he made the good confession and was baptized, living a consistent Christian
life until his death.
Besides his aged parents he leaves five sisters to mourn
his demise: Mrs. E.L. Herron, Cooks, Wash.; Mrs. Otis St. Lawrence, White
Salmon; Wash.; Mrs. E.M. Reed, Mrs. E.J. Boyer and Miss Phoebe Collins, all
of Underwood, Wash.
Fuuneral services were held from the Congregational church
in White Salmon Tuesday. afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Elder S. C. Eshelman
of the Centerville Church of Christ in charge. The body was laid to rest
in the cemetery near Underwood to await the call of the Savior at whose voice
all the dead in Christ shall rise to everlasting life.
