LUTHER JOSHUA ESTES

     Luther Joshua Estes was born on April 26th, 1876 in Clay County, Missouri. He lived in that state until he was 24 years of age when he moved to Bickleton, Klickitat county, Washington. He was married to Hattie Bell Zumwalt on December 25, 1901 and to this union were born eight children, seven girls and one boy, all who live at White Salmon.
    As a young man of 21, he united with the church in Missouri, and on coming to Bickleton he united with the M.E. church, transferring his membership to Grandview Wn. He leaves his wife and eight children to mourn his loss; also his father Hiram Estes of Portland, one sister, Mrs. Etta Pyle of Portland, and one brother James Estes of Long Beach, California. The funeral was held in the local Methodist church on Saturday February 6th. - White Salmon Enterprise.
