WOODS
Mr. Lyle K. Woods, 77, of Centerville died Thursday,
Oct. 18, 1990 in Goldendale. He was born on March 19, 1913 in Lyle, Wash.
to Arthur and Hazel Woods.
He attended schools in Moro, Ore., and was married to
Patricia Powell on June 11, 1938 at Moro. The family moved to their present
wheat and cattle ranch at Centerville in 1941.
Mr. Woods was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Order of
Eastern Star, a director of Klickitat County Grain Growers and had been named
a Conservationist of the Year as well as Cattleman of the Year. He enjoyed
his angus cattle, golfing, socializing and his neighbors.
Survivors include his wife Pat, one son Mike, daughter-in-law
Cheryl and one granddaughter Kate all of Centerville. He was preceded in
death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 23, 1990
in The Chapel of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Mowe of the
Centerville Church of Christ officiating. Interment was in the Centerville
Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Bruce Cameron, Neil Kayser, Dennis Jaekel,
Louis Cosner, Terry Linden and Randy Enyeart. Honorary pallbearers included
Darryl Spalding, James Bridgefarmer, Calvin Linden, and Henry Garner, Keith
Kayser and Charles Burnet.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Wood's name
to Alzheimer's Research.
