LORETTA M. HOCTOR
Loretta M. Hoctor, 77, of Goldendale, died Dec. 16, 2000
in Goldendale.
She was born Nov. 26, 1923 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to
Englebert and Williamina Taphorn. Loretta attended schools in Canada and
was united in marriage to Charles Hoctor on Sept. 23, 1947 in St. Gregor,
Sask. Charles and Loretta owned and operated a ranch near Goldendale for
many years. They built their new home in Goldendale in 1991.
Loretta was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
the Altar Society, the ceramic club, the Grange and the Wool Growers. She
enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, keeping an immaculate house and yard, and
spending time with family and friends.
Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; one daughter,
Rosemarie Story of Goldendale; two sons, Kenny Hoctor of Centralia and Charlie
Hoctor of Sunnyside; five grandchildren, Chad and Kevin Story, Jodi Hoctor,
Damon and Meagan Hoctor; three sisters, Ann Thompson of Goldendale, Alma
Weisner of Leroy, Sask., and Inez Kuemper of Saskatoon, Sask.
Mass of Christian burial was said on Dec. 20 at the Holy
Trinity Catholic Church in Goldendale with Fr. William Byron officiating.
Rosary services were held Dec.19 at the church. Interment was in the Holy
Trinity Cemetery under the care of Erdman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions
may be made to the American Cancer Society.
