Lilly Shigley
A graveside service was held Saturday, Sept., 21, 2002,
at 3 p.m. at the Lyle Balch Cemetery for Lilly Shigley, who died in Portland,
Ore., on Sept. 18, 2002, at the, age of 85.
Mrs. Shigley was born on April 8, 1917 in Rigby, Idaho,
to Mabel (Nelson) and James Quinton. She married Leslie Shigley in the early
30s and moved to Lyle where she worked in the fruit canneries until she retired.
In 1999, she moved to Portland where she resided with her daughter,
granddaughter, and two great-grandsons. Mrs. Shigley is survived by son James
Shigley; daughter Susan Lehman; brothers Lawrence and Ernest Quinton;
granddaughters Colette, Rhonda and Tina; and five great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Doernbecher Children's Hospital
in care of Gardner Funeral Home, PO Box 390, White Salmon, Wash. 98672, who
handled arrangements.

at 3:00 PM at the Lyle Balch Cemetery in Lyle, Washington for Lilly Shigley,
who died in Portland, Oregon on September 18 at the age of 85.
Lilly was born on April 8, 1917 in Rigby, Idaho to Mabel

moved to Lyle where she worked in the fruit canneries until she retired.
In 1999 she moved to Portland where she resided, with her daughter, granddaughter
and two great grandsons. Mrs. Shigley is survived by her two brothers Lawrence
and Ernest Quinton; son James Shigley; daughter Susan Lehman, granddaughters
Colette, Rhonda and Tina and five great-grandchildren.
Following the service, a reception will be held at the
home of Steve and Gayle Pimley. Memorial contributions in Lilly's name may
be given to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital in care of Gardner Funeral
