LINDA M. SPIES

     Linda Marlene Spies of Glenwood died in Portland Monday, June 11. She was 33.
     She was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Portland to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dechand of Glenwood. She was raised in Glenwood, graduating from Glenwood High School. Jan. 24, 1976, she married Darrel Spies.
     Mrs. Spies was active in all community affairs, she was a member of the Glenwood Homemakers, Klickitat County Homemakers and the Mrs. Adams Bible Church, and was a 4-H leader.
     She enjoyed crafts and traveling.
     She is survived by husband Darrel Spies of Glenwood; parents Mrs. and Mrs. Harry Dechand of Glenwood; grandparents Ellie Gribner of Portland and William Guffey of Glenwood; daughter Daralyn Dawn Spies of Glenwood; sons Darren Emerson Spies and Dustin Eugene Spies, both of Glenwood; brother Tod A. Dechand of Glenwood; and sisters Yvette Schultz and Lori Fakesch, both of Klickitat.
     Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14, at Gardner Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Wilderbuer officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood. Memorials may be given to the Glenwood High School Scholarship Fund in care of Klickitat Valley Bank.

SPIES

     Linda Marlene Spies, 33, of Glenwood, died June 11, 1990, in Portland, Ore.
     Mrs. Spies was born December 31, 1956, to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dechand.
     She lived in Glenwood all her life, graduating from Glenwood High School.
     She married Darrel Spies January 24, 1976 in Glenwood. She was extremely active in all community affairs.
     She was a member of the Glenwood Homemakers, Klickitat County Homemakers, the Mrs. Adams Bible Church, and was a 4-H leader.
     She made a lot of crafts, and loved to travel. Her main interests were her family and their activities.
     Mrs. Spies is survived by her husband, Darrel; her daughter, Daralyn; her son, Darren and Dustin, all of Glenwood; her brother, Tod Dechand, of Glenwood; sisters, Yvette Shultz and Lori Fakesch, both of Klickitat; both parents; and grandparents Ellie Gribner of Portland, and William Guffey of Glenwood.
     Services were held June 14 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Gary Wilderbuer officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.
     Contributions may be given to the Glenwood High School Scholarship Fund in care of Klickitat Valley Bank.
