ANNA "LORRAYNE" GROSS
Anna Lorrayne Gross, 75, a resident of The Dalles, died
at her home Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998.
She was born June 20, 1922 in Chicago, Ill., one of five
children to George and Ann (Rice) Erickson. She grew up in Chicago and married
William G. Gross in May of 1940.
They moved to California in 1955 and to the Goldendale
area in the early 1970s. William died in 1972 and Lorraine moved to The Dalles
in the mid 1980s.
She had worked as a circuit engineer for ITT. She was
a member of the Neighborhood Foursquare Church, Women of the Moose, American
Legion, Elks and Eagles Lodge and Senior Center. She loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Bill
Gross, Vancouver, WA., Lorrayne and Bill Kennedy, Kooskie, ID.; Jim and Penny
Gross, Sonora, CA.; Laura Ingraham, The Dalles; and Linda and Tom Landry,
The Dalles; grandchildren, Cliff, Micheal, Michelle, Billy, Christy, Susan,
Kevin, Danny, Stephanie, Jeremy, Autumn, Levi, Jasper and several great
grandchildren, and dear friends Mike, Alice, Karen, Kenny and Gina.
Funeral services will be held at Spencer, Libby &
Powell Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, with Pastor Loren Kennedy
and Bill Noonan officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery
in Goldendale.
