MRS. H. LADIGES SR. DIES AT PORTLAND
Mrs. Henry Ladiges, Sr., 63, of Glenwood, died suddenly
Wednesday, September 24 in Portland. Cause of death was attributed to a heart
attack.
Funeral services were held in Glenwood Community Church
Friday afternoon, Sept. 26 with S.S. Surface officiating. Burial was made
in the Glenwood Grange cemetery. Pallbearers were Geo. Wellenbrock, Frank
Leaton, Charles Holly, Osmar Kuhnhausen, Robert Parrott, and W.A. Martzall.
Mrs. Ladiges was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. On Sept.
9, 1889, she was united in marriage to Henry Ladiges, Sr., and had lived,
in Glenwood since.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Shirley
Moskal, Mrs. Julia James and Mrs. Bernice Diercks and one granddaughter,
Judy, all of Portland. Stepchildren who survive are, Mrs. Melita Harvey of
Portland, Eleanor Abraham of Globe, Oregon, Arthur Ladiges, Osmar Ladiges,
Mrs. Freeda Sheridan, Henry Ladiges, Jr., all of Glenwood.
The deceased was a member of the Glenwood Grange, American
Legion Auxiliary, Camas Prairie and Vicinity Pioneer Association and the
Glenwood Ladies Aid.
