LORRAINE MILLER
Lorraine Miller of White Salmon died Thursday. She was 85.
Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 26, 1907 in Garfield, Wash.
to Viola (Disney) and Albert Schlund. She moved to Canada as a child, met
Herman "Curly" Miller in Tacoma and married him in 1929. They moved to White
Salmon in 1957.
Mrs. Miller worked for Oregon-Washington Telephone
Company (now United Telephone) as an operator and supervisor for many years,
retiring in 1970. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and UMW, Order
of Eastern Star 107. She liked to play cards, garden and travel. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren and was very involved in their lives.
She is survived by her husband, Curly of White Salmon;
sons, Jack of Seattle and Roger of White Salmon; sisters, Eloise Miller of
Tacoma and Vivian Bennett of Virginia, Minn.; grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica of
White Salmon.
Funeral Services were held Monday at United Methodist
Church with Rev. Willem Romeijn officiating. Committal followed at White Salmon
Cemetery.
Contributions may be given to United Methodist Church
in her name.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
