L.R. HEARN
L. Robert Hearn of White Salmon died last Friday in The
Dalles. He was 86.
Mr. Hearn was born March 1, 1906 in Garden City, Mo.
to Betty (Cox) and Richard Hearn. He moved to the Mid-Columbia area in mid-1930s.
He did farm work until the early 1950s and worked for SDS Lumber Co. until
retirement in late 1960s.
He is survived by his sons, Junior Hearn of Yucaipa,
Calif., Arland Hearn of Dallesport and Bill Hearn of Bingen; daughters, Margie
Nielsen of Cook and Jean Murray of White Salmon; brother, Ernest Hearn of
Lyle; sisters, Pauline Balsiger of White Salmon and Dortha Kuskie of Stevenson;
21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Monday at Bingen Assembly
of God Church, followed by committal at White Salmon Cemetery.
Contributions may be given to Columbia Basin Nursing
Home in The Dalles.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
