DEATH COMES TO MRS. ZIMMERMAN
Death after long illness came to Mrs. Verne (Lottie Currant)
Zimmerman, 63, of White Salmon last Friday, Jan. 25.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29,
at Gardner's chapel, the Rev. Geo. P. George officiating. Burial was in the
Odd Fellows cemetery.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born June 18, 1893 in Grant County,
Wis. Later her family moved to Kansas, near Pittsburgh. In 1910 she came
to Chehalis to live with a brother and in 1915 to Snowden to make her home
with the family of a cousin, the late Loyd M. Currant of the Sleepy Hollow
ranch.
On May 1, 1916 she was married to Vern C. Zimmerman at
Stevenson. They have since lived on the North Star ranch on the Snowden road.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Mrs. Iva Osborne;
four grandchildren, Charlotte, Burt, and Jerry Osborne, and Mrs. William
CoopScrupe of Ellensburg; sisters Mrs. Myrtle Rhodes of Seattle, Mrs. Sylvia
Stewart of Shilhowee, Mo., and Mrs. Ermine Yeager of Dubuque, Ia. Also two
brothers, Roy Currant of Honolulu and Ivan of Overbrook, Kansas.

LOTTIE ZIMMERMAN
Lottie Zimmerman was born Lottie Currant in Grant County,
Wisconsin, June 18, 1893. The family later moved to Kansas, settling near
Pittsburgh. In 1910 she came to Chehalis, Washington, to make her home with
a brother and in 1915 she came to Snowden, making her home with the family
of a cousin, the late Lloyd M. Currant, on Sleepy Hollow Ranch.
On May 1, 1916 she was united in marriage to Vern C.
Zimmerman at Stevenson, Washington, and since that time has lived continuously
in the North Star Ranch on the Snowden Road. She passed away January 25th
after a lingering illness at the age of 63 years, 7 months and seven days.
She is survived by her husband, Vern C. Zimmerman; one
daughter, Mrs. Iva Osborne, and four grandchildren: Mrs. William Scrupe,
presently of Ellensburg, Wn., Charlotte, Albert and Jerry Osborne.
There are also three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Myrtle
Rhoades of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Sylvia Stewart, of Chilhowee, Mo.; Mrs. Ermine
Yeager of Dubuke, Iowa; Mr. Roy Currant of Honolulu, T.H.; and Ivan Currant
of Overbrook, Kansas.
Services were held Tuesday January 29th at 2 p.m. at
the Gardner Funeral Home, Rev. George P. George officiating. Interment was
in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at White Salmon.
