LLOYD THROOP
Lloyd C. Throop, 49, was killed Friday when his light
plane crashed near Warden near Moses Lake.
Apparently ice and snow on the aircraft forced the crash
as he was headed on a flight from Gleed to his home in Trout Lake.
Mr. Throop had been a Trout Lake resident for the past
10 years and worked as a contract logger. He was born July 24, 1929, in Eugene,
Ore., to Mr. and Mrs. Herrel Throop.
He attended high school in Glenwood and was married there.
He and his wife Donaldeen ranched in Hood River about 10 years before moving
to Trout Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Trout Lake; his parents,
Glenwood; two daughters, Jacquelyn Iles, Hood River and Barbara Throop, Trout
Lake; and three sons, Dwayne Throop, The Dalles, and Douglas and Brian Throop,
both of Trout Lake. He was preceded in death by two sons Steven and Monty
Throop.
Funeral services for Mr. Throop will be conducted Dec.
7 at 11 a.m. at the Glenwood Community Church. Burial will be in the Mt.
Adams Cemetery at Glenwood.

Lloyd C. Throop, a rancher in the Hood River area before
he moved to Trout Lake, Wash., about 10 years ago, died Dec. 1 at Dayton,
Wash. He was 49.
Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m.
at the Glenwood Community Church, in Glenwood, Wash. Rev. James McGugin will
officiate.
Mr. Throop, a self-employed contract logger, was born
July 24, 1929, at Eugene, Ore.
Survivors include his wife, Donaldeen; two daughters,
Jacquelyn Iles of Hood River, and Barbara of Trout Lake; two sons, Douglas
and Brian, both of Trout Lake; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herrel Throop, of
Glenwood; four brothers; three sisters and three grandchildren.
Interment will be at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.
