RESIDENT OF BZ CORNERS FUNERAL HELD MONDAY

     Funeral services for Colonel Luther Walker, resident of B.Z. Corners for many years, were held Monday, Sept. 16th at Gardner's Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Homer Coulson of Husum, Washington officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Adams Cemetery at Glenwood, Wash.
     Mr. Walker was united in marriage at Oteo County, Nebraska on March 10, 1904 to Lucy Hall, who survives. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Elwood Williams of Glenwood and a son, Virgil W. Walker of Rio Dell, Calif. There are five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, four brothers: John Walker of Randolph, Iowa and Marshall, Glen, and Tom Walker all of Nebraska. Six sisters: Ada Slaviech of Long Beach, Calif., Eva Bentezinger of Lincoln, Nebraska and Margaret Powell of Lincoln, Nebraska, Molly Heather of Syracuse, Nebraska, Zola Slagle of Morrill, Nebraska and Lille Hall of Indian Hills, Colorado.
     Casket bearers were: Orlie Olson, Joe Venzina, Floyd Boyer, Roy Griffith, Darrell Couch, Jack Gross.
     Mr. Walker was born Sept. 7, 1882 in North Carolina. Before coming to Klickitat County he had lived at several locations in Idaho. For many years he was employed by Forest Wallace at Trout Lake.

C.L. WALKER RITES MONDAY

      Funeral services for Colonel Luther Walker, 81, resident of Klickitat County since 1941, were held at 1:30p.m. Monday, Sept. 16th at Gardner's Chapel, White Salmon.
     The Rev. Homer Coulson of Husum officiated. Mrs. Coulson was soloist Burial was in the Mt. Adams Cemetery, Glenwood. Bearers were Orlie Olson, Joe Vezina, Floyd Boyer, Roy Griffith, Darrell Couch and Jack Gross.
     Mr. Walker was born Sept. 7, 1882 in North Carolina. On March 10, 1904 he was united in married to Lucy Hall in Oteo county, Nebraska. They lived at BZ Corners for many years. Mr. Walker, a retired logger, was employed by Forrest Wallace.
     He died Wednesday, Sep. 11, 1963 at Klickitat Valley Hospital, Goldendale, where he had been a patient since June 26.
     Survivors include his widow, Lucy of Glenwood; daughter, Mrs. Elwood (Ruby) Williams, also Glenwood; son, Virgil W. Walker of Rio Dell, California; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
     Four brothers: Marshall, Glen and Tom, all residents of Nebraska, and John of Randolph, Iowa.
     Six sisters: Ada Slaviech of Long Beach, Calif., Lilly Hall of Indian Hills, Colorado; and four in Nebraska -- Eva Bentezinger and Margaret Powell of Lincoln, Molly Heather of Syracuse, and Zola Slagle of Morrill.

LUTHER WALKER

     Funeral services for Colonel Luther Walker, resident of Klickitat county since 1941, were held Monday, September 16, 1:30 p.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon. Mr. Walker was born September 7, 1882 in North Carolina. On March 10, 1904 he was united in marriage at Otoe County, Nebraska to Lucy Hall. Their home is at B.Z. Corner near White Salmon. For many years Mr. Walker was employed at Troutlake by Forrest Wallace.
     Mr. Walker passed away at Klickitat Valley Hospital September 11.
     He leaves his wife, Lucy Walker of Glenwood, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Elwood (Ruby) Williams, of Glenwood; a son, Virgil W.
