MAMIE ADAMS
Graveside services were held Friday, March 23, at the
White Salmon Cemetery for Mamie Adams of White Salmon who died March 19 at
Hood River Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Adams was 71. Rev. Arthur Dickie presided
at the service.
She was born in March 3, 1919, in Stokes County, N.C.,
to Berlie (Briggs) and Ernest Tuttle. She was raised in North Carolina. On
Feb. 4, 1939, she married Luther Adams in Danbury, N.C.
The couple moved to Washington in 1955 and lived here
since. Mrs. Adams' hobby was raising flowers.
She is survived by her husband of Luther, of White Salmon;
children Bobby L. Adams of Blews Creek, N.C., Shirley Ford of Joppa, Ala.,
Brenda Belieu of Clarkston, Wash., Tommy Adams of Madison, N.C., and Roxie
Larson of Spray, Ore.; sisters Lemmer Brown of Winston-Salem, N.C., Novella
Mabe of Kernersville, N.C., Ida Bell Stevens of Walnut Cove, N.C., and Vennie
Johnson of Walnut Cove; brothers Harry Ray Tuttle of Walnut Cove and Thurman
Tuttle Liberty, N.C.
Contributions in Mrs. Adams' name may be given to Wings
of Freedom, P.O. Box 159, Rural Hall, N.C.
